Got Butterscotch for my 4yr old Granddaughter, who has been 'DREAMING' about Santa bringing her Butterscotch for Christmas. WELL, she didn't even open the other gifts until MUCH LATER IN THE DAY (6 pm), she was playing with Butterscotch the moment she saw it by the tree. That night before falling asleep she said, she felt WONDERFUL and WANTED to visit the Northpole to tell Santa, THANK YOU for getting her Butterscotch! A GREAT GIFT for a child.

My daughter received the pony for her 1st birthday and of course she was afraid of it at first but now (she is 18 months) she will walk up to it and kiss it and laughs when it moves or makes noise. She loves to walk over to it and wave and say hi then get the giggles when it \"talks\" back.

I just bought this pony, Aug. 11. My daughter is almost 5 and has wanted this for over a year now and I am so glad I found it for her. I know she will love it.

We got this for my 3yr old little girl for Christmas in 2006. She loves it and has begun to collect horses! She don\'t sit on it much in the summer, but when indoors loves to hug it by the neck alot! Glad it will last her a long time... This year for her 4th birthday she is having a \"horsey\" party with cowboy hats etc.. I\'m planning to make up a background using bails of hay etc.. and take pictures of every child on or beside the pony! That way they\'ll have something special to take home !! Really worth the money!!

My 8 year old daughter LOVES her pony. It does take a lot of batteries but we have not had to change them yet and she got him for Christmas! It is quite expensive but worth every penny, (and it costs a lot less than the real thing)!

When Amazon has it in stock it usually has free shipping. If you see it, order right away. When Amazon is out of inventory they usually sell it through a 3rd party merchant that charges shipping and handling. It's $268 at amazon right now.

I am very disappointed to find out that Butterscotch is a Christmas only item for in store purchases. My 3 year daughter wants one very bad for her birthday but, the cost for the horse, shipping/handling and taxes is going to make this gift almost $400.00. That is a bit much to pay for a horse that we haven't even seen the quality of yet. Hopefully she will be happy and enjoy it for a long time.

My 2 year old Grand daughter loves her Butterscotch. She pets it and grooms it and gets on her and makes her make noises. This is a really cool toy and worth the money.
